From Hindu Unity To Threat To Culture & Anti-India Narrative In Bangladesh: Here’s What RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Said On Dussehra

Nagpur: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, while addressing the Vijay Dashami event at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, on Saturday stressed the importance of mutual harmony and the country’s diversity.

“We have such a big and diverse society – to create that diversity as a division, or to divide even when there is no diversity but to make them think that we are diverse and hence we are aloof – giving such narration – to agitate people, to create an environment when the society loses faith and start disrespecting govt, law & order, administration – it helps in establishing supremacy over the country by remaining abroad….”he said.

He warned against divisive forces, stating that in a multi-party democracy, petty selfish interests have become more important than mutual harmony, pride, and the country’s integrity. Responding to this, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge attacked Bhagwat by saying: “You (Bhagwat) are the one who supports the party which wants disunity in the country. It starts with changing the Constitution, ending the reservation and then speaking different things about Muslims…”

Cong slams RSS chief’s remark that ‘Hindus weak, invite oppression’

Slamming RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat over his Dussehra remark that for ‘Hindus being weak is a crime, it invites oppression,’ Congress leader Pawan Khera said that the Constitution empowers all and it does not differentiate between Hindus or Muslims. “The Constitution makes everyone strong. Mohan Bhagwat should also start concluding his remarks by saying Jai Samvidhan (Hail the Constitution),” the Congress leader told IANS.

Bhagwat on threat to culture

The RSS chief also highlighted the threats by the “Deep State,” “Wokeism,” and “Cultural Marxists” to cultural traditions. He alleged that the destruction of values and traditions is part of the modus operandi of these groups.

Bhagwat calls for Hindu unity, cites violence on Hindus in Bangladesh

Bhagwat also called for Hindu unity at the event. He cited incidents of violence against Hindus and stone pelting on Durga Puja pandals in Bangladesh. Bhagwat had also stated that India had become stronger and more respected in the world with enhanced credibility in the last few years but sinister conspiracies were testing the country’s resolve. Bhagwat had also alleged that a narrative was being spread in Bangladesh that India was a threat and that the Bangladeshis should join hands with Pakistan as a defense.

MEA releases statement on attack against Hindus in Bangladesh

Ministry of External Affairs has also released a press statement on Saturday, acknowledging the attack on puja mandaps and desecration and damage to Hindu temples in Bangladesh. “We have noted with serious concern the attack on a Puja mandap in Tantibazar, Dhaka and the theft at the revered Jeshoreshwari Kali temple at Satkhira. These are deplorable events. They follow a systematic pattern of desecration and damage to temples and deities that we have witnessed over several days now. We call upon the Government of Bangladesh to ensure the safety and security of Hindus and all minorities and their places of worship, especially during this auspicious festival time,” the statement read.
