Bhubaneswar: Cine lovers in Odisha are going to be treated to a movie based on Kabibara Radhanath Ray’s famous poem ‘Kedar Gouri’.
“We will focus on keeping the originality of the timeless poetry ‘Kedar Gouri’. The audience will enjoy love, sacrifice and revenge in the movie. The shooting will start in October,” director of the movie Biswajit Panda said after the muhurat of the movie was held in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of Ganesh Puja on Friday.
Panda is also the choreographer and scriptwriter of the movie. Arubaba Mohanta is the other scriptwriter.
Ashiit Patra and Baisali will play the lead characters in the movie, which will be made under the banner BrajaLaxmi Movies.
“The audience will enjoy a beautiful love story in the movie. There is a tragic ending too. The movie has five songs and one poem. Shooting of the movie will be held at various locations in Odisha,” said Ashiit, protagonist of the movie.
Bikash Das is the music composer.
The production house is planning to release the movie on February 14, 2022, i.e. on Valentine’s Day, said sources.
