Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Suman Rao from Rajasthan walked away with the Femina Miss India World 2019 tiara on Saturday. The 20-year-old will represent India at Miss World 2019 in Thailand. Shreya Shankar ( Bihar) and Shivani Jadhav (Chhattisgarh) were the runners-up.
The star-studded affair at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai also had Odisha-born ace sprinter Dutee Chand among the panel of judges, which included Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza alongside actress Huma Qureshi, Chitrangada Singh, fashion designer Falguni Shane Peacock and Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri.
“I feel proud to have been invited as the first female Odia judge in FBB Colors Femina Miss India 2019. I thank the entire team for giving me this opportunity,” Dutee wrote on her social media profile.
India’s biggest beauty pageant was hosted by Director-Producer Karan Johar, World 2017 Manushi Chillar and Manish Paul. It saw some sizzling performance by Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Mouni Roy and Nora Fatehi.
