Paralakhemundi: Amid a consistent surge in COVID cases, the Gajapati administration has made it mandatory for those entering the district to produce a full vaccination certificate or COVID negative test report conducted within 72 hours.
Those who fail to do so will have to undergo COVID test at the Purunapatna and Deviti checkpoints. Besides police, health officials have been deployed to conduct rapid antigen or RT-PCR tests wherever required.
The district reported 126 new cases in the last 24 hours, ending at 9 am on Friday, 82 on Thursday, 72 on Wednesday, and 45 on Tuesday.
According to the state dashboard, Gajapati now has 404 active cases.
