Bhubaneswar: The function hall at Ram Mandir in the Odisha capital was sealed on Wednesday for holding a birthday event without prior permission from Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
According to sources, a team led by Zonal Deputy Commissioner (South East) Ansuman Rath visited the spot at Janpath this afternoon and ascertained that the function was organised without the civic body’s required permission.
The guests at the event were asked to leave the hall immediately. A fine of Rs.5,000 was also collected from the organisers.
