Bhubaneswar: The functioning of all universities and autonomous colleges under the Higher Education Department began with full staff in Odisha on Wednesday.
In a notification, the Higher Education Department said that the non-teaching staff will strictly adhere to the social distancing guidelines at their workplace with compulsory use of mask, frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitisers.
University and autonomous college authorities have been asked to ensure routine sanitisation of the office premises and direct the staff not to use biometric attendance.
Employees having flu like symptoms have been asked not to attend office and remain on leave. Besides, employees living in containment zones have been asked not to attend office after informing their higher authorities.
