Bhubaneswar: Amid the forecast about a gradual rise in night temperature in Odisha, G Udayagiri in Kandhamal and Similiguda in Koraput continued to remain the coldest at 6.5 degree Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Sunday.
Koraput and Phulbani in Kandhamal at 8.5 degree Celsius and Dhankanal at 9.8 degree Celsius were the other places that recorded a night temperature below 10 degree Celsius in the state. The mercury hovered around 15 degree Celsius at several other places, including Bhubaneswar (14.7) and Cuttack (15).

The IMD further said that very dense fog was observed at Paradip and dense fog at Chanbali and Cuttack. Angul and Bhawanipatna experienced shallow fog.
Notably, the MeT office had predicted a gradual rise in night temperature by 2 to 4 degree Celsius during the next 3 days in Odisha and no large change thereafter.
