Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough, Commissionerate Police on Thursday, busted a gambling den at Salia Sahi under Nayapalli police station limits and arrested eight persons on the charges of gambling.
According to sources, police raided a house based on specific information and managed to nab the gamblers. Cash to the tune of Rs 15,000, eight cell phones, and some ATM cards were seized from them.
In another incident, the special squad of Commissionerate Police seized 30 bombs from Jharpara area and arrested five persons in the connection.
Those arrested are involved in the recent bomb hurling incident in Jharpara area, a police officer informed.
