Bhubaneswar: Odia families residing at Saudi Arabia’s Jubail City celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi by following all religious traditions.
Around 38 Odia families participated in the Ganesh puja celebration on Wednesday. Priests recited mantras, conch shells were blown and flowers offered to Lord Ganesh.
Some families conducted the Odia ritual that marks the beginning of a kid’s education by writing with chalk on black slate boards in front of the idol.
After the puja rituals, all the families dug into delicious Odia food prepared for the occasion.
Odias residing outside the country don’t miss out celebrating any regional festival — be it Raja, Kumar Purnima, Rath Yatra.
