Berhampur: A girl was allegedly gang-raped by two youths at Buguda town in Ganjam district.
The matter came to light after some locals found the victim in an unconscious state at Buguda Bazaar. On being asked the girl narrated the ordeal before them. She said that two youths, including one of her friends, forcibly took her to a secluded place near Buguda treasury office and raped her.
Later, the girl told her family members about the incident who immediately lodged a complaint with Buguda police.
A police team managed to nab the accused youths after conducting raids at different places.
The girl has been sent for medical examination.
Locals of the area demanded a thorough inquiry into the matter and strict action against the accused.
