Gangster Shakeel, Accomplices Arrested By Police In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Notorious gangster Shakeel, allegedly involved in extortion and other criminal activities, was reportedly arrested by the police in Odisha’s Cuttack

According to preliminary reports, four other accomplices of Shakeel have also been arrested along with him during a special operation by a special squad of the police. Shakeel and his gang members are facing a number of criminal cases.

Sources said the gang members were apprehended after they contacted a businessman and tried to extort money from him.

After getting information, a team of the special squad tracked Shakeel and his accomplices and apprehended them when they had assembled at a secluded place. Some arms and ammunition have also been seized from them.

The gang members are being interrogated as part of efforts to extract information about their network. Further details are awaited.
