Malkangiri: Police seized about eight quintals of ganja from an onion-laden truck in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Saturday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Khairput police station intercepted the onion-laden truck near Poda Ghat and seized the narcotics, which were kept in the sacks. Police later seized the truck and arrested two persons.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the ganja was being smuggled to Chhattisgarh from the cut-off area of Chintrakonda block in Malkangiri district.
