Bhadrak: Bhadrak Rural Police busted a ganja smuggling racket with the arrested of four persons on Wednesday night.
The four inter-district ganja smugglers have been identified as Sadasiba Bhola from Cuttack and Laxmidhar Sethi, Alok Samal, and Manas Mohanty from Bhadrak.
According to police sources, a vehicle was intercepted near ITI-Charampa Canal Road here, following information that ganja was being transported in it to Bhadrak from Berhampur.
Ganja weighing 10 kg, a sword, three knives, a toy pistol and a mobile phone were seized from the possession of those arrested.
“The identity of the suppliers have also been ascertained and they will soon be nabbed,” said a police officer.
Sethy, was earlier arrested in a triple murder case, which took place at Ganjeibadi in 1999, and was out on bail, the officer added.
