Paralakhemundi: Police have seized over 10 quintals of ganja from a truck and arrested two persons in this regard in Gajapati district.
According to reports, a police patrol team had intercepted an onion-laden truck during near Mohana on Friday night. They searched the truck and found the contraband stashed in 38 plastic bags.
The two persons in the truck, identified as Nikhil Kumar and Anurag Kumar of Rourkela, were arrested. Police also seized the truck which was on its way to Varanasi from R Udayagiri.
According to sources, the estimated market value of the seized ganja is Rs 50 lakh.
Police said they have launched an investigation to find out the others involved in the racket.
