Berhampur: Even as Ganjam remains the hot spot of Odisha with coronapositive cases rising by the day, the district collector ruled out community spread of the virus.
On the strategy adopted by the district administration, collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said strict screening of the migrants coming in trains is conducted at the railway station and government protocols on corona are sternly enforced at quarantine centres.
Appealing to the people not to panic as the all measures are strictly enforced to prevent spread of the virus, Kulange said awareness is promoted through different platforms.
While the people in rural and urban areas have been requested to keep a track on the movement of returnees from outside the state, the sarpanches have been told to exercise their power to force the suspected persons to undergo tests and stay in quarantine centres, the Collector said.
