Ganjam: The Ganjam district administration on Wednesday declared holiday for all schools due to heavy rainfall and water logging. All Anganwadi centres will also remain closed on Wednesday.
The district collector has directed the headmasters and headmistress to suspend classes and take steps for the safety and security of their students.
However, the teachers of both government and private schools were instructed to be present at their institutions.
Notably, heavy downpour has triggered water logging in Gajapatinagar, Brajanagar, Jayaprakash Main Road, Prem Nagar and Gate Bazaar areas.
