Puri: BJD’s Pinaki Mishra is now leading in the Puri Lok Sabha seat. BJP’s Sambit Patra, who had maintained a lead all-day, is now trailing by 9,467 votes at 10 pm.
At 8 pm, the lead margin between them had narrowed to 69 votes. But only a few minutes later, Pinaki was found leading with 376 votes and it further widened in the next one hour.
The BJP is ahead in eight LS seats and the BJD in 13.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is all set for a fifth term in office with BJD leading in 112 Assembly seats.
