Koraput: A gas tanker overturned NH-26 near Rajuguda on the Sunki-Potangi road in Odisha’s Koraput on Tuesday.
According to sources, the ill-fated vehicle was heading towards Raipur from Visakhapatnam when the driver lost control over the wheels and it turned turtle.
Following the mishap, LPG started leaking out of the tanker. On being informed, Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and began spraying water on the vehicle.
Traffic on Sunki Ghat has been temporarily diverted from Sunki, Rajuguda, Pukali to NH Pukali Chowk (Near Pottangi), informed Koraput Collector Abdaal M. Akhtar.
