New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) wants universities across the country to encourage students to enroll and sit for the Gau Vigyan (cow science) Prachar-Prasar examination on February 25.
Students of primary, secondary and senior secondary schools/colleges/universities, and all other citizens can take the voluntary government exam.
The exam, to be conducted Rashtriya Kamdhenu Ayog (RKA), under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, is aimed at enhancing awareness on indigenous cows and their qualities.
The exam will be held in four categories — primary level (up to 8th standard), secondary level (from class 9 to class 12), college level (post class 12) and for the general public.
Those interested can apply for the examination online through the official site kamdhenu.gov.in. There are no registration fees for the exam.
Literature and reference books have been uploaded or recommended in the official site of RKA to help examinees prepare for the exam.
All participants will be given appreciation certificates.
