Mumbai: Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar recently gave fans a glimpse into their playful relationship dynamic as they opened up about one of their unusual couple habits.
During their appearance on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s show Double Date, Gauahar revealed Zaid’s quirky fascination with her underarms, leaving the hosts in splits.
Neha asked Zaid about his alleged “underarm fetish”, leaving Gauahar surprised.
Reacting to the question, she quipped, “Where did you get this information from? What all have you seen? Are you in our bedrooms?”
Clarifying his stance, Zaid dismissed the idea, saying, “Matlab aisa kuch nahi hai yaar (It is nothing like that),” before explaining that he simply finds baby-like skin soft and smooth.
Gauahar further revealed that Zaid believes her underarms always smell fresh. Zaid, meanwhile, clarified that he simply touches and smells them.
Gauahar then added that he even tells his sister about the pleasant fragrance, saying, “Dekh, kitni acchi khushbu aa rahi hai (Look, it smells so good).”
The candid revelation had Neha and Angad laughing out loud.
Gauahar and Zaid’s relationship blossomed unexpectedly during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Zaid initially reached out to Gauahar on Instagram, and their conversations soon developed into a serious relationship.
Gauahar later revealed that Zaid proposed to her within a month of their first interactions. Their romance also attracted attention due to their six-year age difference, which reportedly led to some initial reservations from their families.
However, the couple remained committed to each other and decided to take their relationship forward.
The couple got engaged in November 2020 and went on to tie the knot in an elaborate nikah ceremony on December 25, 2020.
They welcomed their first son, Zehaan, in May 2023, and became parents for the second time with the arrival of their son Farwaan on September 1, 2025.
On the work front, Gauahar is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Ikroop, directed by Akram Hassa.
The film stars Mithila Palkar, Kumud Mishra, Swanand Kirkire and Taha Shah Badussha in key roles.
