Bhubaneswar: Two pieces of gauze were allegedly left behind in the urethra of a woman, who underwent an operation for gynecology issues at a private hospital in the Odisha capital.
The operation was conducted on one Puspalata Nayak, about eight months ago.
Puspalata alleged that she used to suffer from minor pain in lower abdomen post operation. When the pain became unbearable, she visited another doctor in Bhubaneswar.
“During treatment, the doctor found two pieces of gauze in the urethra,” the woman alleged.
Puspalata’s son said that they will soon file an FIR against the private hospital’s doctor, who had operated on her.
