New Delhi: The general council meeting of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) will be held between the third and fourth week of September.
Briefing media here on Saturday, OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik said that a decision has been taken at AICC and that the meeting of PCC in all states will be held between the third and fourth week.
As all committee’s of OPCC have been dissolved, he and some leaders will conduct the meeting, he added,
Odisha AICC in-charge Jitender Singh said as decided by AICC, the party will launch a countrywide agitation from October 15 to 25 against the Centre for its wrong fiscal policy resulting in recession.
To a question on the demand of Itish Pradhan, convener of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) for the ouster of Niranjan from the party, Singh said he has taken up the matter with NSUI secretary in-charge for disciplinary action.
