Girl Critical After Stabbing By Boyfriend In Odisha’s Khurda

Khurda: A young girl sustained critical injuries allegedly after her boyfriend stabbed her over an argument in Odisha’s Khurda district on Tuesday.

As per reports, the girl, who belongs to Jajpur district, works in a vehicle showroom in Khurda town. As usual, she had gone to the duty on the day and came out of the showroom in the afternoon during lunch break.

She met her boyfriend outside the showroom and both of them went to Barunei hill. An argument ensued between the two over some issue and the boy stabbed the girl in the hill.

While the girl started bleeding profusely and fell unconscious, the boy fled the spot, Later, local people rushed the girl to the district headquarters hospital at Khurda. As her condition turned critical, she was shifted to AIKMS in Bhubaneswar, the sources said.

On being informed, a team from Khurda police station went to Barunei hill and started investigation. They have started investigation and launched a manhunt to trace the boy.
