Girl Dies After Charging Mobile Phone Explodes In Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In an unfortunate incident, a young girl lost her life after her mobile phone exploded at Keriakanee under Laikera police station limits in Jharsuguda district on Friday.

 The deceased has been identified as Uma Oram (19).

According to Uma’s family members, the incident took place at around 3 pm when the girl was speaking on her mobile phone while it was plugged into a wall socket and charging.

The victim sustained severe burn injuries on her hand and leg. She was rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment. But she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
