Girl Gang-Raped By Three Youths In Angul, Boyfriend Detained

Angul: In a shocking incident, a girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by her boyfriend and his two friends at Palalahada in Angul district.

Based on the complaint lodged by the survivor, Palalahada police have detained her boyfriend.

The accused has been identified as Kalia Mahakula of Jhimiripali village.

According to sources, Kalia asked the girl, with whom he was in a relationship for the past five years, to join him. He took her to a lonely place, where his friends were waiting. They then raped her.

They even threatened to kill her if she disclosed about the incident to anyone, the girl said in her complaint.

The police have begun investigation and trying to trace the two absconding friends of the accused.
