Balasore: A girl student was critical after being allegedly beaten up by her English teacher on Saturday. She is a student of Subarnarekha High School at Baliapal block in Balasore district. The victim, a Class-X student, was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
According to sources, the girl alleged that she was beaten for standing outside the classroom. She fell unconscious after being thrashed by the teacher and was rushed to Baliapal CHH. Later, she was shifted to Balasore Hospital after her condition deteriorated.
“I have not yet received any information or any complaint regarding this. I will investigate and take action, once I receive any complaint from them,” said Baliapal BEO Narayan Chandra Das.
