Girl Student Found Hanging At Sanskrit University Hostel In Puri

Puri: A girl student of the Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University was found hanging inside her hostel room in Odisha’s Puri on Sunday.

According to reports, the girl hailed from Banki area in Cuttack district and was a first year PG student of the university.

Some hostel inmates found her hanging from the ceiling of the room with a rope and informed the authrities.

After getting information about the incident, police reached the spot, recovered the body and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident

While the reason behind the incident was yet to be ascertained, post-mortem report is likely to throw some light, they added.
