Girl Student Raped Inside Hotel In Odisha’s Cuttack, 1 Held

Cuttack: A girl student was allegedly raped inside a hotel room in Madhupatna area of Odisha’s Cuttack city and one person has been arrested in this connection.

The incident came to light after the girl lodged a complaint at the Madhupatna police station. It was alleged that she was sexually assaulted inside a room in the hotel.

Based on complaint lodged by the girl, police have arrested an employee of the hotel and further investigation is underway.

While further details are awaited, the complainant is stated to have come from outside Odisha.

Stating that one person has so far been arrested in the case, a senior police official said investigation is in progress to ascertain whether others were involved in the incident.
