Bhubaneswar: Governor Raghubar Das unfurled the National Flag at the state-level parade on the occasion of 75rd Republic Day celebrations at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Odisha capital on Friday.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was also present.
A total of 64 contingents, including the ITBP, CRPF, BSF, Fire, ODRAF, Odisha Home Guard, RPF, Sainik School Police Band, participated. Jharkhand Police also joined the Republic Day parade in Bhubaneswar as guest contingent. The parade also saw performance by four cultural groups, a skating team from Odisha Skating Academy and Dare Devils.
Tableau of 12 key departments, including agriculture, health, education, Panchayati raj and drinking water, works department, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, Tourism, OSACS, OMC and fire, rolled down Mahatma Gandhi Marg, highlighting various initiatives of the Odisha government.
