Puri: The fourth edition of the popular Eco Retreat will begin at Konark in Odisha’s Puri district on December 1 and will continue till March 15, 2023.
According to sources, Collector Samarth Verma held a meeting with all the stakeholders on Thursday where he proposed that to make the beach festival more interesting and entertaining this year.
Around 70 luxury tents will be set up for visitors along the shore of the Ramchandi beach for a unique glamping experience with facilities similar to star hotels will be provided.
During the festival, water sports, beach sports and indoor games will also be made available for guests.
It will also be provided with uninterrupted power supply, drinking water, a mobile network as well as a healthcare facility, a firefighting system, parking arrangements, security arrangements and 24X7 hours lifeguard facility.
Several cultural programmes will also be organised during this period for the tourists.
It is pertinent to mention here that the eco-retreat festival was held at seven locations- Konark, Satakosia, Bhitarakanika, Daringibadi, Hirakud, Pati Sonapur, and Koraput- last year.
