Puri: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s pilgrim town of Puri on Sundayand offered prayers before the sibling deities.
Accompanied by family members, Sawant visited the 12th century shrine in the morning and had darshan of the trinity. He expressed his happiness over having the holy darshan of the sibling deities after long years.
The visiting leader said that he prayed to Lord Jagannath for economic growth in Goa and the people of his state. He also lauded the ongoing developmental projects in and around Jagannath Temple.
While hailing the Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor Project, Sawant also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the upcoming consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lala at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
