GoAir Flight From Bhubaneswar Hovers Over Mumbai As Rain Cripples City

Mumbai: Heavy rain accompanied by lightning crippled life in the megapolis since Monday evening, hitting both train and flight operations and creating huge traffic snarls across the city.

A Mumbai-bound GoAir flight from Bhubaneswar was among the dozens of flights that are currently hovering over the Mumbai sky as unconfirmed report suggests that flight landing has been temporarily suspended.

The GoAir flight, which was scheduled to land at about 10.30 PM was still hovering over the city, reported flightradar24.

The rain has been triggered by deep depression, which currently centred at about 600 kms south south-west of Mumbai. It is likely to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm before making landfall somewhere between Porbandar and Mahuva in Gujarat-Diu region.
