Chennai: Security personnel caught two men trying to smuggle gold into Chennai on Friday. The duo had arrived at Chennai International Airport from Dubai by Indigo flight No. 6E-66.
They tried their luck by concealing the gold in their rectum, but got caught, reports india.com.
According to the Customs Commissioner of Chennai Airport, six bundles of gold weighing 705 grams and worth Rs 35.5 lakh were recovered and seized from the duo, under the Customs Act.
One of the two men, who had a prior record, was arrested.
