Balasore: Police seized 2.4 lakh in cash, 46 grams of gold, and 209 grams of silver, which were being transported in a car that crashed Junia Bazaar under Gopalpur police limits in Odisha’s Balasore on Wednesday night.
According to sources, the crash took place as some youths in motorcycles were chasing the car after a hit-and-run incident. While the driver fled, police later apprehended two persons travelling in the vehicle. “We are probing the circumstances surrounding the accident and the source of the seized items,” Gopalpur police station IIC Ashok Nayak told the media.
