Bhubaneswar: Come March, denizens of Bhubaneswar can travel by air to Prayagraj, a major tourism and religious hub in Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, budget carrier IndiGo airlines is likely to commence a flight service from Prayagraj to Bhubaneswar from March 28.
Regional Director of Airport Authority of India (AAI), Achal Prakash said, “Prayagraj is fast getting connected by air with major cities of the country and this will continue in future as the city is a major tourist attraction.”
According to an IndiGo release, the airline is also planning to launch an exclusive flight service between Bhubaneswar and Patna under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) from May 1.
Indian carriers have been focusing more on domestic routes post coronavirus lockdown last year as scheduled international flights remain suspended in the country since March 23 last year.
