Bhubaneswar: With footfall at the ongoing India International Mega Trade Fair-cum-Home and Decor Exhibition on the rise, stall owners expect good response on Sunday. The trade fair will continue till February 12.
A number of city-based home and decor shops are showcasing their products at the event. Besides, furniture, wall hangings, showpieces from Hyderabad, Delhi, Rajasthan, Turkey are major attractions for the visitors. Mostly women were seen at stalls selling kitchen appliances, sofa, cushion covers and namkeens.
Among the luxurious home decor items were hand-painted T-shirts pricing Rs 750 each. “I have come from Kolkata. I am an artiste and this is for the first time I have come to this fair,” said the stall owner dealing with the much-in-demand hand-painted T-shirt.
Similarly, sale of sarees, dupattas, salwar suit pieces, bed cover and bedsheets was impressive. Designer fancy lights, curtains, carpets and home decor items are available at the fair.
Stalls from Pakistan, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh also received good number of visitors. People can relish different varieties of food available inside the cafeteria.
