Bhubaneswar: With an objective to bring together all stakeholders of the event management industry, the Event Management Association of Odisha on Friday opened the registration process for members with the launch of its official website.
The association, which was formed about two months back amid COVID-19 pandemic, organised an e-meeting of the stakeholders for the website launch. Terming it as the ‘Beginning of Good Times’ during this uncertain period, the association called upon event management organisations, artistes, sound and light professionals, infrastructure professionals, hotel industry members, stage management professionals, individual event professionals, audio video professionals and even floral decorators to be part of the association.
“Event management is one of the biggest industries today and all other sectors depend on it. If this sector grows in a professional and structured manner, the entire state would benefit,” said Satyabrata Sanu Ratho, president, EMAO and founder director of Prelude Novel Ventures.
While Shiv Patnaik, CEO, Cathexis and Vice President, EMAO, requested all stakeholders to join hands and make the association stronger in the days to come, Saroj Kumar Mallia, Managing Partner, Enter Ten Events and Secretary, EMAO spoke about different memberships available.
The e-meeting was coordinated by journalist and anchor Diksha Tiwari. The other office-bearers present for the e-meeting included Executive Members Sonu Nanda, Aditya Sharma, Dibya Ranjan Lenka, Chandan Nayak and Treasurer Asutosh Panda. Akshyendu Patnaik, Founder, Celebration Live and Joint Secretary, EMAO gave the vote of thanks.
EMAO has four categories of membership – Platinum, Gold, Associate Individual and Associate Partners. The criteria for membership, fees and benefits of the same have been listed out in the website www.emao.in.
The association has four advisory members including internationally acclaimed Odissi dancer Aruna Mohanty; popular Odia actor and OFDC Chairman Kuna Tripathy; eminent senior journalist and Founder, Odisha Bytes Sandeep Mishra and senior marketing media professional and DGM, The New Indian Express, Prasanna Panda.
