Mumbai: Veteran actor Arun Bali passed away at the age of 79 in Mumbai on Friday.
According to reports, the actor had been admitted to Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital in February this year as he was suffering from an auto-immune disease named ‘Myasthenia Gravis’ that causes weakness in the skeletal muscles that worsens after periods of activity and improves after periods of rest.
Bali was a popular face in films and television shows. He made his debut in Bollywood with Akshay Kumar’s Saugandh in 1991.
Over the years, he went on to star in movies like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Satya, 3 Idiots, Ready, Barfi!, PK, Baaghi, Kedarnath, Panipat, Samrat Prithviraj and in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, to name a few, and TV shows like Kumum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Chanakya, Doosra Keval, Maryada and Aarohan among others.
It is pertinent to mention here that his last film, the Amitabh Bachchan-Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Goodbye hits the theatres today.
