Bhubaneswar: Eight wagons of a goods train derailed at Mancheswar Station yard in Bhubaneswar late on Sunday.
According to the East Coast Railway (ECoR), the mishap took place at 1.35 am. “Senior railway officials are monitoring the restoration work at the site. There is no damage to life or property,” it said.
The release further said that down line was cleared for the train movement at 5.05 am. “Now trains are running in both up and down lines.”
The derailment affected train traffic and led to cancellation, short termination and rescheduling of some services, it added.
This comes three days after two wagons of a goods train on its way to Angul derailed near Bhubaneswar railway station.
