Bhubaneswar: A goods train reportedly derailed near Ambadola in Rayagada district of Odisha on Saturday.
No injury to anyone was reported after four wagons of the goods train derailed. The accident took place on a special track connecting Ambadola railway station with Vadanta plant at Lanjigarh in Kalahandi district, sources said.
As the accident took place on special dedicated tracks, there was no disruption in the regular railway traffic.
On being informed, the authorities concerned reached the site and took stock of the situation.
It may be noted here that a major mishap involving three trains took place at Bahanaga Bazar in Balasore district of the state on June 2 which has claimed the lives of 291 people and left over 1100 injured.
