Goods Train Derails Near Belpahar Level Crossing In Odisha’s Jharsuguda



Bhubaneswar: Rail services faced partial disruption on Sunday evening after at least three wagons of a coal-laden goods train derailed near Belpahar level crossing in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district.

According to sources, the incident occurred around 5:30 pm on the Howrah-Nagpur railway route, when the wagons and its rear cabin slipped off the tracks, also disrupting vehicular traffic through the level crossing. However, no injuries or casualties were reported.

On being informed, both railway officials and technical staff rushed to the spot and launched an operation to remove the derailed wagons and resume rail traffic on the route.
