Jeypore: Train service was disrupted between Jeypore and Koraput after the engine of a goods train derailed late on Sunday night.
Sources said the goods train carrying iron ore was on the way to Vishakhapatnam from Jagdalpur when its engine suddenly derailed at Dayanidhiguda village between Koraput and Jeypore late on Sunday night.
Following information, an expert team of East Coast Railway (ECoR) rushed to the spot.
The goods train later left for its destination at 8 AM after the engine was repaired.
Due to the derailment, train service between Koraput and Jeypore was disrupted for nearly five hours, the sources added.
