Jharsuguda: The movement of trains was affected in Jharsuguda district on Friday night after a goods train rammed into a truck at Rajpur railway crossing here.
A wagon of the goods train derailed and overturned, disrupting transportation of coal from Basundhara mines of Sundargarh district.
However, no injury or casualty was reported in the accident.
According to sources, the incident took place at around 11 pm when the truck halted on the railway track due to a technical snag. Moments later, the goods train that was passing on the route rammed into the stationery truck.
The truck was completely damaged in the collision.
Locals alleged that the accident occurred due to the unmanned level crossing and demanded deployment of an official at the spot to prevent such mishaps.
