New Delhi: Google has started a dedicated Web Story carousel inside its Discover feed, enabling news publishers to create news in ‘stories’ format and also make money out of it.
The service, currently launched in US, Brazil, and India, can work on web browsers as well and can be found through Google Search and Google Images too.
Publishers can start by visiting stories.google. Previously in 2018, Google had started a similar service called AMP Stories.
Like other social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram and even Linkedin, the stories appear like cards and tapping on the right lets you move to the next one. Tapping on the left makes you go back to the previous one.
Google recommends vertical video and captions instead of speech, with short text within 30 words on a single page.
