Balasore: Celebration turned to nightmare for a youth in Balasore district after miscreants attacked him with razors just two days prior to his wedding.
The victim, Manoj Behera (28), is the son of a sweet stall owner at Nilagiri. His wedding has been fixed to a girl from Remuna in Balasore district for January 19.
According to reports, the groom-to-be had gone to Kalijhati area on Friday afternoon to distribute invitation cards for his wedding. Manoj was on his way back home around 11 pm when three miscreants obstructed his way. They threatened him not to marry the girl and slashed at him with razors. They then fled the area.
Later, locals took Manoj to the sub-divisional hospital at Nilagiri.
Police said they have started an investigation and searching for the attackers.
