Chhatrapur: Gopalpur Ports Limited (GPL) has opened a primary health check-up centre at Duburi Chhak under Kanamana panchayat as part of its corporate social responsibility projects.
Inaugurating the centre, Gopal Port CEO VJ Rao said GPL is always committed to improve the health, education and sanitation of the port peripherals.
“This centre is our step and support towards creating a healthier society,” he said.
People of all age-groups in nearby villages will benefit from this health check-up centre, said Ajay Kumar Mishra, VP (HR/IR) Gopalpur Port.
Mishra appealed to villagers to make maximum use of this facility.
Senior consultant doctors from various departments like gynaecology, paediatrics and general practioners will visit the health centre to diagnose, counsel and create awareness among patients free of cost.
Others present at the opening of the centre were CFO Vikash Kumar, AVP (HR/IR) Gopalpur Port Chittaranjan Bahinipati, other port officials, local villagers and intellectuals.
