Government Focusing On Overall Development Of Tribal Students: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: The state government, through various interventions, has
strategized the overall development of tribal students. All support
and financial assistance will be given to the SC and ST students so
that they can pursue higher education without putting too much
monetary burden on their families, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here
on Monday.

Inaugurating the 8th edition of ‘Sargi Phul’ festival, organised by
SC/ST Development Department at Adivasi Ground here, the Chief
Minister said, “Besides opening a number of hostels and schools for
the tribal students, the government has provided scholarship to more
than 20 lakh students belonging to the SC and ST community.”

The CM felicitated some successful students of this
year’s matriculation examination.

Children and teachers from different schools from all the districts
have participated in the festival. During the three-day festival,
science exhibition, workshops and cultural programmes will be held for
