Jeypore: The half-burnt body of a government official was found in a forest near Dangara village under Borigumma police station limits in Koraput district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Seal, a Cluster Resource Coordinator (CRC).
According to information, Sandeep was missing from his house at Ambaguda village in the district since Monday. After receiving information about the incident, police along with scientific team rushed to the spot and seized the body. A motorcycle lying near the body was recovered from the spot.
Sandeep’s family members and locals have alleged that some miscreants murdered him and set his body on fire, before dumping it in the forest, police sources informed.
