Bhubaneswar: Prof Shyam Sundar Pattnaik of NITTR in Chandigarh has been appointed as vice-chancellor of Odisha State Open University in Sambalpur.
A press release from Raj Bhavan on Thursday said in exercise of the power conferred by Sub-section (1) read with Sub-Section (5) of Section 10 of Odisha State Open University Act 2014 (Odisha Act 5 of 2016), Governor and Chancellor Raghubar Das has appointed Prof Pattnaik as vice-chancellor of Odisha State Open University (OSOU).
Prof Pattnaik will hold the post for a period of three years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Prof Pattnaik will replace present OSOU vice-chancellor Prof Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra.
He is presently serving as Professor & Head, Media Engineering Department, National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTR), Chandigarh.
