Govinda Fine Now, Docs Removed Bullet, Actor’s Manager Says After Revolver Misfiring

Mumbai: Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday after he accidentally shot himself with his own licensed revolver, reports stated. His manager reportedly claimed that the actor was doing well in the hospital after doctors attended him.

The actor’s gun reportedly misfired.

Reports also stated that the bullet from his gun ended up hitting his knee.

The incident occurred around 4:45am while he was checking the weapon before heading out, reported the News 18.

“Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the cupboard when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now,” Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha told the ANI.

He is undergoing treatment at CRITICare Hospital in Mumbai. Till the last report came in, neither Govinda’s family had released any official statement regarding his condition.
